Trompe l'oeil painting is a technique of faux painting that creates an illusion. It usually is seen on a large scale in a room or building. Any architectural painting that I do, including scrolls and columns I would classify under this technique. Faux finishes and murals could be used in a trompe l'oeil painting project. The faux architectural features painted on walls of old downtown theatres would be the best example most people would remember of original trompe l'oeil.

Being able to enlarge a design from a sketch or picture and apply it to a wall on a large scale is something that I enjoy. I would love to create a unique design to fit your taste, inside or outside.
